It’s the land, nature that inspires me, western rural landscapes, the quite, the beauty. When I am out on the land, around horses, cows, and sheep, old farms, I am immediately restored to peace, to wholeness, to an indescribable calm. For me, these experiences are nothing less than sacred. I strive to create paintings that reflect my inner experience. I paint what I respond to emotionally and intuitively. The majority of my paintings are created with brush and palette knife. I often paint small from life then use these sketches to create larger paintings. My paintings have been included in Oil Painters of America Western, The American Plains Artists, American Women’s Artists, The American Impressionist Society National Exhibition, Cheyenne Frontier Days Western Art Show and Sale Invitational, The American Academy of Equine Artists, Small Works Great Wonders, corporate collections, and many exhibitions and plein air events in Utah.
